Did you know that dogs have a life cycle, just like humans do? All dogs have a life cycle. Sadly, some dogs have a very short life cycle, while others don't. Usually, smaller dog breeds have a longer life span, while larger dog breeds have a shorter life span. For example, a Chihuahua can have longer life span than a Saint Bernard. Dogs first in the "bitch" 's stomach. A "bitch" is the term for a FEMALE dog. Over time, this "soon- to-be" whelp receives food from her mother. From there, this future whelp gets ready to be born. When this future whelp is born,it is officially called a whelp. As the whelp opens its eyes and has a month of life,it is now called a puppy! As this puppy grows to be one year old, it is now officially a young dog. When this young dog passes another year,it is now a dog. Though,it is quite interesting to see a canine grow, there are may dangers for it. This bottom picture leads to another very important page ,which is my "Dog Parasites and Worms" page.
